Who we are and what this policy covers
Sterling Sioux Falls Concrete Company is a concrete contractor in Sioux Falls, SD. We pour driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, floors and foundations for homeowners in Sioux Falls and the cities around it.
This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, what we do with it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers every page of our site, starting with our home page, and the contact form linked from it. It doesn't cover other websites we link to, which have their own policies.
Information you give us
Most of what we know about you comes from you, when you fill out our contact form, call us or email us about a job. That usually includes:
Your name, phone number and email address, so we can get back to you.
The address of the property, so we can come out and look at the work.
What you'd like done and any details or photos you choose to send, such as the size of a slab, cracks you've noticed or when you'd like the work done.
You don't have to give us anything to browse the site. If you leave out your contact details, though, we won't be able to reply or set up an estimate.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours collects some basic information on its own when you visit, through analytics tools and cookies. A cookie is a small file your browser stores so a site can remember your visit.
This can include your browser and device type, the pages you look at, how long you stay, the site or search that brought you here and a general location based on your internet address. We use it in summary form to see which pages people find useful and what needs fixing. We don't use it to work out who you are.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some analytics will stop counting your visit.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to run the business and do the work you asked about. That means:
Answering your questions and scheduling your free estimate.
Writing up your estimate and, if you hire us, planning and doing the job.
Following up about the work, scheduling and billing.
Improving the website based on how people use it.
Keeping records the law requires a business to keep.
We won't add you to a marketing list you didn't ask for, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that help us run the site and the business, and only what they need to do their part. Our contact form is handled by an outside form service, our website is hosted by an outside provider and our analytics come from an outside tool. Each of them processes your information on our behalf.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety or anyone else's, or as part of selling or transferring the business. Beyond that, your information stays with us.
How long we keep it
We keep your contact details and job notes for as long as we need them to answer you, do the work and stand behind it, because questions about a slab can come up years after the pour. We also keep records as long as tax and business laws require.
If you reach out and we never do any work for you, we delete your details once they're no longer useful to us, or sooner if you ask. Analytics data is kept in summary form and isn't tied to your name.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you what information we have about you, correct anything that's wrong, or delete it. We'll do that unless we have to keep something by law or to finish work you've hired us for, and if so we'll tell you what we kept and why.
You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under your state's privacy law, and we'll honor those requests too.
How we protect it
We limit who can see your information to the people who need it to do the job, and we use services that protect data in transit and in storage. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don't send payment card numbers or other sensitive details through the form or by email.
Children's privacy
Our site is meant for adults planning work on a property. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and if we learn we have, we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our tools or the law change. The current version will always be on this page, so check back here if you want to see what's changed.
How to raise a privacy concern
If you have a question about your information or want to make a request, call us at (605) 305-1165 or send us a message through our contact page. We respond within 1 business day.
